Michael D. Golden is partner and co-leader of the Closely Held and Family Business Practice. He is also a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Estate, and Logistics and Transportation Practices.
Mr. Golden’s practice focuses on counseling clients, both publicly held and privately owned, in growing their businesses through mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and joint ventures, and creative financing arrangements (including both equity and debt). Mr. Golden also represents companies in their employee matters such as negotiating executive employment agreements and non-competition agreements.

Sherman A. Cohen is a partner in the Corporate and Securities Practice and the Private Equity and Venture Capital Practice. He serves as practice leader of the Corporate and Securities Practice and has served recently on the firm’s Executive Committee. Mr. Cohen has more than 25 years’ experience practicing law and frequently lectures on venture capital financing and choice of legal entity issues. Lindsey Sykes is a Partner and the service line leader for our Financial Reporting and Assurance department. Lindsey has over twenty fi ve years of business experience, having spent twelve years in public accounting with Arthur Andersen and six years as Chief Financial Offi cer of a publicly traded company prior to joining Bennett Thrasher in February of 2007. Lindsey has signifi cant experience in serving companies from the start-up/ development stage through large multi-national public companies. He has been involved with companies in the technology, manufacturing, distribution, real estate and service industries.
Vince Eget is a Partner within Bennett Thrasher’s Tax practice. He has signifi cant experience working with companies in technology, healthcare and service businesses, and in the areas of taxation of passthrough entities and mergers and acquisitions. Vince provides a broad array of tax consulting for entities ranging from formation and structural issues to succession and liquidity events as well as critical business and tax planning throughout their life cycle.
