Atlanta CEO Council Celebrates 18 Years

This year, the Atlanta CEO Council marks 18 years of fostering CEO success through the cultivation of exceptional business leaders. Throughout our history, empowering CEOs to excel has been, and remains, our core mission.  Out of curiosity, we looked up the meaning of the number 18 and found that the number has to do with humanitarianism, independence, and building something of lasting benefit. We believe that by helping CEOs succeed, we can have an exponential impact on our community for generations to come.

So, to mark 18 years of strengthening the virtuous life cycle of entrepreneurship throughout Atlanta, we are proud to launch our new website and further build upon our mission to help CEOs to excel by connecting them to their most powerful resource: each other.

Throughout 2017 and into 2018, our programs and forums will bring four important resources to our CEO members: Capital, Customers, Professional Development and Talent. Other notable enhancements we have made to the Council this year include:

Networking Events

Starting in 2017, we changed the format of our networking events to give CEO members, who run recurring revenue and product companies, an opportunity to participate in super exclusive, invitation-only dinners at some of Atlanta’s hottest restaurants. In addition, we are hosting curated CXO receptions, and planning other structured events for mentoring, networking and community service. Be sure to visit our Events page for more information.

Our next CXO Reception will be December 11. For an invitation or more information, contact info@atlantaceo.org.

Exclusive CEO Dinners

To facilitate networking and relationship building, this year we have started a new tradition: invitation-only private dinners. Two recent dinners, held at Ten Degrees South and NEXTO/Two Urban Licks, gave CEO members an opportunity to enjoy an excellent night of fun, food and friendship. Our monthly dinner events are limited to 35 CEOs who run product or recurring revenue companies – an elite peer group ideal for networking and relationship building at some of Atlanta’s newest and coolest restaurants. A few special guests will be joining us as well!  Our next CEO networking dinner will be October 16.

Leadership

Another change we made this year is the addition of a new Executive Director, Ashish N. Thakur. Formerly the executive director and CFO of TiE Atlanta, Ashish brings enormous talent, experience and leadership to the Council. If you have not already connected with him, please do so on Twitter and LinkedIn.
