Celebrate with Atlanta’s CEOs and Entrepreneurs
The Atlanta CEO Council is celebrating the end of 2014 with a special Holiday Event on December 8 to support our next generation of entrepreneurs with Junior Achievement of Georgia. Through our involvement in building JA’s Chick-Fil-A Foundation Discovery Center, we have impacted the lives of 32,000 students, more than 9,000 volunteers and 15,000 visitors. Led by the Atlanta CEO Council and board member Linnea Geiss, the technology community is a permanent part of the $15 million Discovery Center inspiring students as they experience the life of an entrepreneur.
The Atlanta CEO Council invitation only Holiday Event is December 8, 6:30 – 9:00 pm at the SCAD Digital Media Center. To request an invitation, please contact the Atlanta CEO Council. We will have tours and demonstrations of the Savannah College of Art and Design’s studios of digital design, animation, and motion media design in their state of the art facility.
Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their full potential by bridging the business and education communities. The hallmark of JA is its unique use of local business and community volunteers who deliver the lessons that equip students with the knowledge and skills to succeed. The dynamic interaction between students and volunteers promotes active learning and brings theory to life, while also allowing students to see a real-world model of someone who can demonstrate the value of business on a first-hand basis. These learning experiences establish the foundation on which young people can build the skills and attitudes necessary to succeed in a fast-paced world.
